My Flickr

Today I am browsing through scads of images, and feeling a bit awkward. I am wondering why people have found it necessary to share their photographs with strangers.

I am trying to find something interesting and relevant to me, but I really don't have the time. I would much rather be spending this time with my own photographs, which badly need to be culled and organised into something manageable.

However, I did find this rather beautiful photograph Fog over San Franciso, and it reminded me of our recent trip and that we actually didn't experience any foggy days, so I don't have anything like this in my photographic collection.

  1. I empathise with how you feel Madame Lash. The picture you chose is beautiful and reminds me of the fog that drifts into my head each time I start a new stage of this course, Dil.

  2. A well taken photo is worth sharing I think. However the memories that photos evoke are entirely personal, and as you say, it is difficult to understand why people want to inflict them on others.

  5. I reckon the best use of flickr is the sharing of family photo albums amongst relatives who live in other states/countries. Not only does it mean that all of your digitals are stored and ordered, but it is easy for all family members to check out the latest snaps.

  6. With so many millions of photos out there, isn't it amazing though, when we find one that does speak to us? that we have forged some small connection with someone totally unknown to us?

  7. I also found it a bit overwhelming the amount of photos that are out there - but can see it as a great way to share photos with friends when my neice was travelling she put her photos on Flickr as she went from place to place
